This article covers the permissions needed to set up the Applicant Review integration between SeekOut and SmartRecruiters. With this integration, you can pull open jobs and applicants from your AT,S allowing SeekOut to display, filter, enrich, and rank prospects for each job requisition.
Before You Begin
You need to create a new API key in your SmartRecruiters account.
Note 1: Please contact your Customer Success Manager or our support team so we can coordinate your integration setup.
Note 2: The email you use to log in to SeekOut and the email you use to log in to SmartRecruiters must match exactly. See the article type: entry-hyperlink id: 5T4fr5Xx8szB3dw83SiX4E for help updating your SeekOut login email.
Note 3: If you have an existing SmartRecruiters integration (i.e. ATS Export, Talent Rediscovery, etc.) you do not need to create an additional API key. Skip to the section Connecting to SmartRecruiters and utilize your existing key / SmartToken.
Create your API Key / SmartToken
Log in to your SmartRecruiters account, click your user icon at the top right, and select Settings / Admin. On the settings page, select Apps & Integrations from the Administration section.
Select the Credentials tab and click New Credential.
Choose an API key and click Next. Enter SeekOut Rediscovery in the Credentials name field, select Admin as the System Role and click Generate. Copy this key to a safe place; you'll be entering it in SeekOut.
Connecting to SmartRecruiters
Setting up Applicant Review
On the Integrations page, click the plus sign + at the top of the page to open the ATS list. Search for SmartRecruiters and click Connect.
If you've set up a SmartRecruiters integration with SeekOut before, your current integration will be listed on this page. To add the Applicant Review integration, click the down arrow next to SmartRecruiters, then Edit.
On the Capabilities tab, check the box next to Inbound. Click Confirm Choices to continue to the next step.
Note: If you don't see Inbound as an option, please contact your CSM or [email protected] for help adding Inbound to your integrations page.
Review the requirements on the Permissions tab and click I'm ready.
On the Credentials tab, enter your SmartToken.
Click Submit to save your credentials.
If you see a successful verification message, click Next.
Verify Your Integration
SeekOut will automatically attempt to verify your connection. If the ATS Export integration is enabled, you will be prompted to send a test prospect. Click Verify. When successful, SmartRecruiters will appear at the top of your Integrations page with a green check mark. Navigate to your SmartRecruiters instance and ensure the test prospect is in your SmartRecruiters instance.
Removing the Integration
On the Integrations page, click the arrow next to a connected integration to Edit or Remove the integration from your SeekOut account.

Webhooks
SeekOut will automatically create the following webhooks in your SmartRecruiters instance:
candidate.deletedThis webhook notifies SeekOut when a candidate is deleted in SmartRecruiters, so matched candidates in the Your ATS tab are updated accurately.
job.status.updatedThis webhook notifies SeekOut when a job is updated or deleted in SmartRecruiters, so the job list in the Your ATS tab is updated accurately.
