This article is for setting up a one-way export from SeekOut to Greenhouse. To learn about the two-way integration, see our article here.

SeekOut integrates with your Greenhouse account, allowing you to export candidate data from SeekOut and turn it into Greenhouse candidate profiles, complete with contact information and work/education history.

SeekOut candidate data can be sent to Greenhouse as prospects, or it can be attached to an existing job.

This article shows how to set up your integration as well as how to export candidate info from SeekOut to Greenhouse.

Your Greenhouse account must have the developer permission "Manage ALL organization’s API Credentials" enabled.

Your Greenhouse login and your SeekOut login must both use the same email address when setting up the integration.

Log in to your Greenhouse dashboard and click the Configuration icon at the top right. Navigate to the Dev Center, then click API Credential Management.

On the next page, click the Create New API Credential button. Select Harvest as your API Type, SeekOut as your Partner, and enter a description.

Click Manage Permissions, and your new API Key will be available to you. Click Copy to copy the key to your clipboard.

Click, I have stored the API Key to close the window. The Harvest API permissions page will open automatically.

Check the box next to each of the following permissions:

Click Save at the bottom of the page when you're done.

On the Integrations page, click + Add a Connection. Locate Greenhouse Harvest from the list of integrations and click the Connect button.

Note: If you have set up an integration previously, click the + next to the list of integrations at the top of the page to open the Add a Connection pop-up.

On the Capabilities tab, check the box next to Export.

Check Export only as Prospects if you choose not to export candidates to specific jobs in your ATS.

If using Greenhouse Harvest, check Enable Pools to enable the ability to export to job pools.

Click Confirm Choices to continue to the next step.

Review the requirements on the Permissions tab and click I'm ready.

On the Credentials tab, paste your API key into the Harvest Key field.

Click Submit to save your credentials, then click Next.

SeekOut will automatically attempt to verify your connection when you first set it up by exporting a test candidate as a prospect or to a job in the populated jobs list.

Choose either Export as Prospect or select a job from the jobs list and click Verify. When the ‘All Good’ message appears, click Finish and ensure the test candidate has been successfully added to your ATS.

When successful, Greenhouse will appear at the top of your Integrations page with a green check mark.

On the Integrations page, click the arrow next to a connected integration to Edit or Remove the integration from your SeekOut account.

You must use the exact same email for SeekOut and Greenhouse. Emails are case sensitive.

To export all candidates in a project to Greenhouse, go to your SeekOut project, click the Export icon and choose Export All to Greenhouse. A confirmation pop-up will appear.

Click Export to finish exporting your candidates.

Note: Contact information such as email addresses and phone numbers will only appear in your export if you click Get Email for All and Get Phone for All before exporting.

Alternatively, you can export select candidates from SeekOut by clicking the box next to their profile, clicking the Export icon and then selecting Export X to Greenhouse. A confirmation pop-up will appear.

Click Export to finish exporting your candidates.

When using Greenhouse Harvest with Enable Pools checked during setup, you have the option to export profiles from SeekOut in one of two ways.

By default, SeekOut will not transmit profiles that have already been successfully exported. Candidates that have been exported will display a confirmation icon and the name of your ATS in their SeekOut profile.

To transmit a candidate who has previously been exported to your ATS, select Include previously exported candidates in the Export pop-up. This will create a new record in your ATS. Be mindful that doing this can create duplicate records of the same candidate in Greenhouse.

It can take up to four hours during peak times (8a-10p ET) for data to sync between Greenhouse and SeekOut.

Job Filtering

When setting up the integration, we will only show jobs labelled as Open.
