SeekOut integrates with Jobvite, allowing you to export data from SeekOut and turn it into Jobvite contact profiles, complete with contact information and work/education history.
This article covers how to set up your integration, as well as how to export candidate info from SeekOut to Jobvite.
Before You Begin
You'll need an API Key and a Secret Key from your Jobvite account. Ask Jobvite support for help creating your keys with the following permissions:
Get Jobs
Get Contacts
Get Application
Create Contact
Create Candidate
Candidates exported from SeekOut can be found in your ATS under the Contacts tab in Jobvite. Recruiters will need to have the Engage User permission enabled in Jobvite in order to access this tab.
You must use the exact same email for SeekOut and Jobvite. These emails are case sensitive. If your emails don't match exactly, you will get an error message when you test the integration or attempt to export candidates.

Create a Custom Field for SeekOut
Log in to your Jobvite account to create a custom field for the SeekOut integration.
Go to Admin > CRM > Custom Fields and click Add.
Enter SeekOut Job in the Name field.
Enter seekout_job in the Field Code field.
Check the box next to Add this custom field as a pipeline search filter.
Click Save.
Setting up the Jobvite Integration
Connecting to Jobvite
Locate Jobvite from the list of integrations and click the Connect button.
Note: If you have set up an integration previously, click the + next to the list of integrations at the top of the page to open the Add a Connection pop-up.
On the Capabilities tab, check the box next to Export. Check Export only as Prospects if you choose not to export candidates to specific jobs in your ATS. Click Confirm Choices to continue to the next step.
On the Credentials tab, enter your API Key, Secret Key, and Jobs Filter values. You can filter the job requisitions shown to end users by the following posting types:
External
Internal
Limited Access
Enter these values in the Jobs Filter field separated by a comma. For example, if you wanted to only show External and Limited Access jobs, you would input “External,Limited Access.”
Click Submit to save your credentials, then click Next. SeekOut will automatically attempt to verify your connection when you first set it up by exporting a test candidate as a prospect or to a job in the populated jobs list. Choose either Export as Prospect or select a job from the jobs list and click Verify. When the ‘All Good’ message appears, click Finish and ensure the test candidate has been successfully added to your ATS.
When successful, Jobvite will appear at the top of your Integrations page with a green check mark.
Removing the Integration
On the Integrations page, click the arrow next to a connected integration to Edit or Remove the integration from your SeekOut account.
Exporting from SeekOut to Jobvite
Recommended: Export from a Project
To export all candidates in a project to Jobvite, go to your SeekOut project, click the Export icon and choose Export All to Jobvite.
Contact information such as email addresses and phone numbers will only appear in your export if you click Get Email for All and Get Phone for All before exporting.
Alternatively, you can export select candidates from SeekOut by clicking the box next to their profile, clicking Export and then selecting Export X to Jobvite . With both methods, clicking Export to Jobvite will cause a pop-up window will appear.
If your ATS does not support profiles without email addresses, check the box Generate dummy email addresses for candidates. Click the Export button to export candidates to Jobvite. If successful, you will see a confirmation pop-up message that says "Export Complete."
Candidates exported from SeekOut can be found in your ATS under the Contacts tab in Jobvite. Recruiters will need to have the Engage User permission enabled in Jobvite in order to access this tab.
