SeekOut Expert Search gives you access to tens of millions of professionals in engineering, computer science, and life sciences. This people-centric search engine helps you discover candidates based on their research papers, conference presentations, and patents.

You can search by topic, conference, affiliation, and more using the Expert UI. For more precise targeting, you can also use Boolean logic and field-based syntax to build custom queries.

Use field-based search strings with keywords, quoted phrases, or Boolean operators like AND and OR. For example:

  • journals:("scientific reports" OR BioRxiv)
→ finds candidates published in Scientific Reports or BioRxiv.

  • conferences:(CLEO OR OFC)
→ Returns candidates who submitted work to the CLEO or OFC conferences.

  • cur_title:(data OR (scientist OR engineer))
→ Finds candidates with current job titles that include data, data scientist, or data engineer.

  • patents:whitelisting
→ Finds candidates with patents mentioning whitelisting in the name or description.

These advanced search techniques help you surface candidates with highly specific expertise.
