What is Career Compass?
Career Compass is a feature of SeekOut Grow that allows employees and their managers to take control of their careers. SeekOut's public profile data combines with information from your company's Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Learning Management System (LMS), and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to reveal new career and learning opportunities to you based on your existing skills and qualifications.
Profile
Your profile is the foundation for how Career Compass recommends learning content and career opportunities for you. Your profile contains information about your current role in your company, as well as your work, and education history. Skills are automatically recommended based on your role and company job architecture. You can edit most of the information in your profile to tailor your Career Compass experience.

Jobs
The Jobs section displays open positions within your company and recommends roles that may be a good fit for you based on your skills, experience, and career interests. The information from your profile in Career Compass is used to complete your application, giving you an advantage as an internal applicant.

Projects
A project is a short-term task or assignment that you can share with your coworkers. Projects in Career Compass are intended to help your coworkers refine or learn new skills.
Projects are customizable, and can focus on a specific function that a team performs (e.g. engineering, marketing, people, finance, etc.), or be more social (e.g. support a company-wide event, volunteer effort, etc.) The length of time of a project can vary; a project could be a 2-hour task or require several hours per week over several weeks.
Learning
Career Compass integrates with your existing learning management system (LMS) to recommend training content and learning modules that can best help you advance your career. You will receive recommendations in the Learning tab based on your role as well as any skills you want to gain or roles you are interested in. Recommendations can also be shared by your Manager. Assigned learning from the organization will show as well.

People
The People feature allows you to search within the organization. Included are filters that you can choose from to quickly see other employees who meet that criteria, such as previous company experience or team members who started at the company at the same time you did.
Career Paths
Your Career Paths tab shows you your current role as well as possible future roles within your company. Using your skills and experience from your profile, Career Compass recommends jobs that represent a promotion from your current role or lateral moves into other job roles where career transitions have historically happened within your organization.

My Team
The My Team section is a hub for people managers and team supervisors to help you easily understand the employees you manage. View your team as a whole or drill down into individual employee profiles and see their experience, goals, aspirations, and recommended development opportunities.
