Workspaces allow you to create and manage multiple Outreach campaigns under a single role or hiring workflow. This makes it easier to segment candidates, tailor messaging, and run follow-up outreach without creating multiple Workspaces for the same role.
This approach is especially useful when you want to:
Send different messaging to similar candidate groups (for example, day shift vs. night shift)
Test outreach language for different candidate personas
Create follow-up campaigns for candidates who didn’t respond to an initial message
Note: Creating multiple Outreach campaigns is supported in Workspaces only. This functionality is not available in Projects.
Before you begin
To use Outreach campaigns in a Workspace, make sure:
You have access to Workspaces and Outreach in your SeekOut account.
You already have (or plan to build) a candidate list via Search, Evaluate, or Shortlist inside the Workspace.
Create a new campaign
Open your Workspace.
Click the Outreach tab.
Click Create new to create another Outreach campaign in the same Workspace.
Example: Outreach tab showing “Create new” button at the top.
Once created, the new campaign appears as a separate campaign section within the Outreach tab. You can rename campaigns at any time, which is recommended for clarity. Descriptive names like “Night Shift – Initial Outreach” or “Follow-up – No Response” make it easier to manage multiple campaigns over time
Add candidates to a campaign
Candidates can be added to Outreach campaigns in several ways, depending on where you are working in the Workspace.
Add candidates from the Outreach tab
This method is best when you want to add a filtered group of candidates from your Shortlist.
Open the Outreach tab and select the campaign you want to add candidates to
Click + Add people
Apply one or more filters to define which candidates should be included
Click Confirm to add matching candidates into the campaign.
Important: You must select at least one filter before you can move candidates over from the Shortlist into a campaign.
Add candidates from Search, Evaluate, or Shortlist
You can also add candidates to a campaign while actively reviewing them.
Go to the Search, Evaluate, or Shortlist tab
Select one or more candidates
Click the three-dot menu (⋯)
Choose Add to campaign
Select the campaign you want to add them to
Example: In the Search tabExample: In the Shortlist tab
You can also add individual candidates to an Outreach campaign directly from their candidate card, as shown below.
Example: Use the campaign menu on the candidate card to add a candidate to an existing Outreach campaign or create a new one.
This allows you to build campaigns naturally as you review candidates, without switching back to the Outreach tab.
Manage candidates across campaigns
Once candidates are in a campaign, you can manage them using the three-dot menu (⋯) next to each candidate. These actions help you reorganize candidates as your outreach strategy evolves.
Inside a campaign, click the three-dot menu (⋯) to manage a candidate in that campaign.
Add to another campaign (duplicate)Use this option when a candidate should be included in more than one campaign at the same time. The candidate is added to an additional campaign while remaining in the original campaign.
This is helpful when a candidate fits multiple outreach strategies. |
Move to another campaignUse this option when a candidate should belong in a different campaign instead. For example, you may have created Campaign A first and later realized the candidate fits Campaign B better.
This action removes the candidate from the current campaign and adds them to the selected campaign. It is only available if the candidate has not been started and no message has been set in the original campaign. |
Remove from campaignUse this option when a candidate should no longer be part of a specific campaign. The candidate is removed from that campaign and can be removed at any time.
If the candidate exists in other campaigns, those entries are unaffected. |
Archive and restoring campaigns
When a campaign is no longer needed, you can archive it to keep your Outreach view organized.
Archive a campaign
Archiving pauses the campaign if it is active.
You’ll be prompted to confirm before the campaign is archived.
Restore an archived campaign
Archived campaigns can be restored at any time from the Archived section in Outreach.
Restoring a campaign makes it available again for use and editing.
Best practices for multiple campaigns
When working with multiple Outreach campaigns, the following practices can help keep things organized and effective:
Use clear, descriptive campaign names so teammates understand the purpose at a glance.
Create follow-up campaigns for non-responders instead of reworking the original campaign.
Duplicate candidates into multiple campaigns only when it serves a clear outreach goal.
