Once you've identified good candidates and added them to a project, you might be wondering what's next. Your SeekOut plan includes credits for finding email addresses and phone numbers so you can connect with your candidates.
Contact Credits
You will use your contact credits to request contact info. See the article How contact info credits are counted for more details.
Request info for one
Go to a candidate profile and click Get Email or Get Phone. After a brief moment, the candidate's contact info will appear in the information box below.
If multiple emails are available, SeekOut uses a machine learning classifier to rank and display the most reliable one. Click More to view additional email addresses.
Request info for some
Check the box next to each candidate profile. Select Get Email or Get Phone from the ribbon at the bottom of the screen.
To change how many candidates are listed per page, scroll to the bottom and make a new choice from the Show results per page dropdown.
Request info for all
Scroll to the top of the page and click Get Email for All or Get Phone for All. This will reveal contact information for all of the candidates in the project.
It can take a few minutes to find contact information for many candidates at once. After you request contact info you don't have to remain on the same page; SeekOut will work in the background finding candidate contact info, allowing you to navigate to another page or continue working on other projects.
You’ll be notified in two ways:
Activity Center: A red icon will appear on the bell next to your name. Click it to view links to your projects and searches.
Email: You’ll receive a message titled “SeekOut—Your contact info is ready” with a link to your updated project or search.
⚠️ If you try to export candidate data while contact info is still being retrieved, a pop-up will remind you. You can choose to wait or continue with the export, but incomplete contact info may be missing from the file.
Click OK to close the pop-up and continue waiting, or Continue anyway to go ahead with the export. Keep in mind that if you export before the request has finished, your exported data may not have contact information.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does SeekOut provide contact info?
SeekOut is not a primary source of contact data. We partner with trusted data providers and evaluate the accuracy of the information. We do not scrape contact info from LinkedIn or other platforms.
We also respect candidate privacy. If someone requests removal from our database, we promptly honor that request. While this doesn’t remove their info from third-party providers, it will no longer be accessible in SeekOut.
Will I lose credits if SeekOut can’t find contact info?
No. If SeekOut can’t find a valid email or phone number, your contact credit balance remains unchanged.
Example: If you have 100 email credits and request info for 10 candidates, but SeekOut only finds emails for 8, you’ll still have 92 credits remaining.
