SeekOut gives you two ways to capture and share insights about candidates: Private Notes and Shared Comments. While they serve similar purposes, they differ in visibility and context.

notes and comments 1

šŸ”’ Private Notes (Visible Only to You)

  • Add by clicking the three-dot menu on a candidate’s profile and selecting Add Private Note.

  • Notes appear anywhere you see that candidate in SeekOut—across search results and all projects.

  • Only you can view your private notes.

  • Ideal for personal reminders, insights, or context you want to keep for yourself.

šŸ’¬ Shared Comments (Visible to Your Team)

  • Add by clicking the three-dot menu on a candidate’s profile within a project, then select Add Shared Comment.

  • Comments are project-specific and do not appear in search results or other projects.

  • Visible to anyone with access to the project.

  • Great for sharing feedback on a candidate’s fit for a role or collaborating with hiring managers and teammates.
